13 May Addicted to Paris
Last weekend I was whisked away to Paris by the lovely Nicola Byrne and Debi Dupreez from the Accor Group for a fabulously elegant fam.
The day started off in style as we checked into the lounge at the Eurostar St Pancras before boarding our train to beautiful Paris. On arrival, greeted by the Paris global office team we were speedily transferred to the Pullman Eiffel Tour where we were treated to a delicious light lunch and show round of the hotel.
Following lunch, in true Paris style, the team took us for an afternoon of perfume making at the gorgeous Molinard Parfumerie. Learning about the technique of perfume making, and the different notes that create these wonderful smells we had a hand at making our own scent! Mine, named Jodie’s delight, made to replica Hermés Elixir, I can say in all honesty was absolute…… awful, but much fun was had and others in the group made some divine scents, all which were worn that evening.
Following our perfume workshop, that evening we were again whisked away to the Pullman Paris Centre Bercy, where we enjoyed an evening of champagne, delicious canapes, and a stunning buffet.
Friday morning had to be my favourite day, our first show round took us to the Sofitel Baltimore Tour Eiffel, which was an elegant, and boutique hotel that also offered modern meeting space. Following this site visits (and a delicious healthy breakfast), we were taken to Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris! Now if I didn’t love Paris before, after seeing this hotel it has taken my heart!
Le Royal Monceau is one of a kind, stunning, elegant, quirky and grand all in one. Each corner of the hotel has some element of uniqueness, and with a Nobu sushi restaurant and Michelin star Italian restaurant, as well as its own art gallery it’s the hotel that just keeps giving.
The rest of the afternoon was spent at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg where we had the opportunity to meet with over 24 of the Accor group hotels and venues situated in France from Paris to Strasbourg and Marseille, really widening our knowledge of all the Accor group has to offer.
That evening, it was time for the crème de la crème! Transferred to the Pavillion Kleber (which is a venue from the Potel & Chabot portfolio) we were greeted with champagne on arrival, followed by a deliciously elegant sit-down dinner. Then just when you thought that Accor couldn’t top it, we were transferred back to the hotel again in the true French style, in old classic cars with our very own escort.
What a way to spend a weekend in Paris hey?!
