19 Jan An Art Deco Gem in Mayfair
Here at Seven Events we always have our ear to the ground for new venues so we thought we’d give you a quick peek into the latest one in Mayfair.
The Beaumont, is a luxury 5 star hotel, with just 50 rooms, 13 studios and 10 suites and it occupies a historic 1926 building overlooking Brown Hart Gardens.
It is the first hotel by Corbin & King, the London restaurateurs behind The Wolseley, The Delaunay and a number of other leading restaurants in the capital.
A striking element of the hotel is ROOM, an ex
periential work of art commissioned from the Turner Prize-winning British sculptor, Antony Gormley. Forming part of a suite, ROOM is a massive, modular piece made of stainless steel and fumed oak, placed on a low-level wing to the south side of the building’s façade.
There are a number of dining options at The Beaumont, including The American Bar and The Colony Grill Room. The Cub Room is a private bar and lounge, for the exclusive use of hotel residents and their visitors and the Lotos Room is the dining room for private events.
For Boardroom meetings up to 18, Seated meals up to 40, Theatre style up to 48 and Standing receptions up to 60 this is a versatile space for those more intimate events, all of which are serving menus created by the chefs of The Colony Grill Room.
Approached down a sweeping, curved staircase from the lobby, the richly timber panelled Lotos Room has broad horizontal bands of walnut and cherry, leather chairs, antique artefacts aswell as a bespoke Art Deco carpet.
