24 Oct Choosing the Right Event Space
Choosing a venue is one of the most difficult decisions you face when planning an event. It becomes even more complicated when you realise it’s a major part of the experience rather than just a place to house what you want to do.
When planning your event I would suggest perhaps you think of it from a different perspective…We hear on a constant basis from our clients that they’re wanting to show their company in a different light or highlight a different part of the business for a particular event – choosing a venue that you’ve used for the past 5 years doesn’t necessarily portray the message you’re wanting to give out.
Don’t get me wrong, there are always pros in using a familiar venue if they’ve done a good job the year before, but don’t get stuck in a rut because it’s easier than looking for somewhere new.
Attendees always want something different – something they haven’t seen or experienced before – and if you offer this to them, be it staff or clients, then you and your company will be remembered for the right reason.
Look at the objective of your event and keep that at the forefront of your mind when looking at venues. Obviously we would suggest you speak to an agency – and a good one will want to understand your objectives and ensure that the venues they suggest are proposed for a reason.
If your agency doesn’t do that then look for another agency!
Our job is to come up with that new experience and suggest a venue that we know not only is of the standard that you’d expect, but that is going to make your company stand out from the crowd and deliver something unconventional.
So put us to the test next time you need a venue for your event, there is a reason our tag line is ‘Create, Deliver, Inspire’.
