Damien Hirst’s New Restaurant – Pharmacy 2

Damien Hirst’s New Restaurant – Pharmacy 2

Damien Hirst’s new restaurant Pharmacy 2 is one of the most exciting new openings to happen this year. Located in his Newport Street Gallery just a few minutes’ walk from Vauxhall tube station.  The restaurant serves the public throughout the day but in the evening serves diners once the gallery has been closed to the public.

The Newport gallery is Hirst’s long term dream to share his private art collection with the public but in addition there is also the chance to see some of his most iconic pieces including the Medicine Cabinets and Butterfly Kaleidoscope paintings.

In addition the renowned chef and restaurateur Mark Hix has joined Hirst in this venture.  Hix is responsible for bringing several casual yet stunning restaurants to the UK, including the Tramshed, Oyster and Fish House and Hix Mayfair.  All serving sumptuous European cuisine using the highest quality, seasonal produce.  Pharmacy 2 follows suit with delightful dishes such as Roast Lyme Bay monkfish tail with rosemary and Peruvian Gold chocolate mousse with honeycomb.

The restaurant has a good response from the critics with the evening star giving it 4 out of 5 stars and regularly top’s the charts on TripAdvisor with rave reviews from the public. This is definitely a unique space which provides an innovative and dining experience and would be ideal for an exclusive private dinner.
