10 Dec A Delightful Dormy House Weekend
As if a weekend in The Cotswolds just before Christmas wasn’t dreamy enough, throw in a stay at beautiful Dormy House and you’re really being spoilt. Laying just on the north western edge of the Cotswolds overlooking the chocolate box village of Broadway, Dormy House is a complete treat of a hotel; stylish yet understated décor, sumptuous food, impeccable service and a state-of-the-art spa that has won awards by the bucket load, it’s pretty impossible to find fault with this haven of comfort.
The property has been ingeniously designed to feel like you have walked into an uber stylish home – or into the pages of Ideal Home magazine. Not leaving any area of the hotel untouched by its stylish je ne sais quoi, the outstanding house spa offers far more than your average steam room. Equipped with a lavender sauna, salt-infusion steam room, Scandi style thermal suite and of course its serene pool and terrace hot tub, it really is the ultimate haven of relaxation. Treatments at House Spa are from cutting edge brand Natura Bisse and have been winning awards since the spa opened – the diamond life infusion facial is even said to have a better effect than botox (though I’m still waiting for my fellow seven eventers to notice the effects on me!)
As if all this wasn’t enough, you have plenty of options on the food & beverage front – the garden room offers a delectable afternoon tea (best accompanied with a glass or three of Veuve Clicquot of course), the potting shed for solid brasserie fare such as steak and risottos, and then there’s the Piste at The Potting Shed, Dormy’s new pop-up Alpine dining cabin designed for feasting with friends on chilly winter evenings…. death by fondue anyone?
