17 Mar It Doesn’t Need To Be a Coach!
When planning an event often a part of the programme that gets left to the last minute is the transportation – particularly when the event is overseas.
Out of ease we often pick a coach transfer – and there’s nothing wrong with that – but with a little imagination (and sometimes, but not always, a little extra budget) you can bring guests from one place to another with perhaps a more interesting mode of transport!
Take for example if you’re planning an overseas event and are by the coast, a fun way to take guests to their hotel from the airport is by rib boat. You would take your guests to the pick-up point and luggage would be transported separately whilst your guests take the fun route to their destination. A speedy trip to their hotel is a great way to blow away the cobwebs after a flight and a perfect way to see the local scenery on arrival.
Or if budget allows why not have guests see the sights from the air on a helicopter ride into town. Surely a trip your delegates will never forget.
If it’s just a small group and you’re perhaps transferring to an off site dinner, I can assure you if it’s a short trip your guests won’t mind walking. It’s a great way to see the local area and really get a feel for the destination. Plus it’s often quicker than getting in a coach and being stuck in traffic.
So next time you’re planning your programme, don’t leave the transfers to the last minute – lets work together and come up with something more memorable than staring out of a window.
