04 Feb emirates old trafford introduce “safe in one place” initiative
there is no doubt that 2020 was a seriously challenging year for the events industry. during this time, large sporting venues such as emirates old trafford have worked tirelessly behind the scenes developing ways to keep their guests safe, ready for when the venue re-opens to the public.
after hosting ‘behind closed doors events’ and with the safety, security and wellbeing of visitors at the forefront, the team at old trafford developed their “safe in one place” initiative in line with government standards and protocols. some of the measures currently in place at the venue include:
- staff completing a health questionnaire on an app along with weekly covid-19 testing
- access to ppe for all visitors and staff inclusive of hand sanitizer
- deep cleaning of all public spaces
- screened entry into the building
- reduced capacity in meeting rooms to allow social distancing
- dedicated one-way walkways to reduce crossover between visitors
