you’re probably wondering what the ‘new normal’ is going to look like in the world of events when we start to ease up the lockdown measures, but you’ll be pleased to know here at sevenevents we’re already a step ahead and we’re already evolving.
we’re sure you’ve already started to go ‘virtual’ but a word that you’ve going to hear a lot is the ‘hybrid’ event – but what does this mean?
a hybrid event is an event that takes place in a physical venue, whilst also being attended by a live and interactive audience online.
it should utilise technology to bring your audience outside the venue into the event experience – so online audiences and live participants experience the same event as much as possible.
this means interacting with speakers and other attendees, getting involved with content, and participating in q&a sessions.
we think that there are likely to be guidelines as to how many people can physically be in a room, or how close they can sit, however the hybrid event means you don’t have to restrict your overall audience.
