Festival Season

One of the best things about summer has got to be the festivals. And we are so spoilt for choice here in the UK as every year they get bigger and better. Getting out of town for a festival or even out of the country is become ever more popular, but we would like to talk about it the best that London has to offer this summer.

Lovebox

Arguably one of the best in London, Lovebox Festival is on from the 14th – 15th July in Victoria Park. It may only be 2 days but it jam packs a whole host of brilliant entertainment in. Frank Ocean is the headline act on the Friday night and is the only London date on his European tour, definitely a set not to be missed. Throughout the rest of the weekend you will be treated to an eclectic mix of electronic music and live bands. And if you’re looking for something more, there is plenty of performance, art, dance, and mysterious mischief happening.

Kew the Music

For something a little different and slightly more civilised, Kew the Music has a week long programme of music and entertainment to offer this week at, you guessed it, Kew Gardens. With a great array of different artists playing each night, you are bound to find something to suit your mood. From Razorlight to Hacienda to All Saints to Mary J Blige. And what a venue to spend your evening at, expect more picnic blankets and champagne bottles than tents and warm beer.

South West Four

SW4 Festival on Clapham Common brings together some of the best DJ’s from across the world for a 2 day wild party. If you are longing for the very best in dance music, and dreaming of the white isle of Ibiza, then this one’s for you. This year they have pulled all the strings and have the legends that are Pendulum performing live. And if that’s not enough I am sure there is plenty of fun to bed had across the stages with its offering of house, EDM, electro, techno and trance.
