Foodie Heaven

We are massive foodies in the office, restaurant openings and food news excite us almost as much as a free box of Maltesers! So guess what? We’ve got BIG FOODIE news. There is going to be two new Farmers Markets opening in London for us to spend hours aimlessly and frantically walking around trying to pick what we really need…not want – I mean I think I can talk for the team when I say there has been occasions when I’ve considered spending my entire salary on fresh bread, gluten free cakes and homemade chutney!

Lavender Hill Farmers’ Market

Saturday September 12 will see the launch of this spot on the ground of Shaftesbury Park School in Battersea. There will be pies and scotch eggs (who doesn’t love scotch eggs?!) to snack on from Hogs and Hens as you peruse the produce from fruit and veg farmers Chegworth Valley, rare breed pork sausage-makers Ambrose, bakers The Slow Bread Company and more. Shaftesbury Park Primary School, Ashbury Rd, SW11 5UW. Tube: Clapham Junction. Sat 10am-2pm from Sept 12.

Food Shed

If you work in Wembley, this new market is the place to go for lunch on a Wednesday from September 23. Set up by the team behind London Farmers’ Markets, which run more than 20 pitches, it will feature a range of produce and street food, all made with high-welfare, high-quality ingredients. Lunchtime options include free-range porkie treats from The Parsons Nose like pies, hot dogs and sausage rolls; burgers from Woodwards Farm; crab noodles from Hand Picked Shellfish Company; and cakes and bakes from Cakehole. Market Square, Wembley Park, HA9 OFJ. Tube: Wembley Park. Wed 10am-3pm from Sept 23.

Check them out. Just make sure you don’t lose your head and overspend..
