It’s that time of year when we all start planning for summer and looking for exciting destination’s to hit the beach, party and enjoy the sunshine. Across Europe we are spoilt for choice for beautiful coast lines to while the days away, here is one of our favourites which is an ideal place to celebrate with staff or clients.
Hvar, Croatia:
Hvar is located just off the main land of Croatia found a short ferry ride away from the city of Split. This is a place of outstanding natural beauty with a Venetian style town, lavender fields, vineyards and the sparkling turquoise waters of the Adriatic. This destination has quickly become known as the new ‘St Tropez’. A playground for the rich and famous, here you will find lines of yachts in the harbour, celebrities and royals dining in the restaurants and people zipping about on Jet ski’s.
Activities:
It’s all about the water in Hvar with sailing topping the charts of what to do on the island. Taking a yacht out is an excellent way to view the coast line and ideal way to impress and bring your guests together. You can choose to learn to sail which is a fantastic team building experience or alternatively the boat can stop in a nearby cove and guests can enjoy kayaking and snorkelling at their leisure.
For the land lovers there is the choice of wine tasting in a local vineyard, learning how to make olive oil or taking a traditional cooking class.
Nightlife:
The best time to visit if you like to party is from mid-May to mid-October and there are endless options of restaurants, taverns, pubs and clubs to visit. For drinks with a sunset Hula Hula is the place to be, a rustic wooden beach bar serving delicious cocktails and DJ playing chill-out tunes. To carry on the night you will need to head to the best club in town Carpe Diem which has large flower covered terraces, views across the Island and the best DJ’s from across Europe. The best place to dance the night away and watch the moon rise.
