We have put together a list of some of our favourite iconic venues that are great for events!
Somerset House
Somerset House is steeped in history and is definitely a venue that would wow any guests! Somerset House is a spectacular Neoclassical building situated on the south side of the Strand in central London, overlooking the River Thames. Therefore, making it very accessible for all guests. This landmark building offers a diverse portfolio of both modern and historic spaces, including the celebrated Courtauld gallery. Spaces are available for daytime and evening hire and can cater for 2 to 1,500 guests!
Searcys at the Gherkin
The gherkin is one of London’s most famous landmarks and is hard to miss! Situated on the 38th and 39th levels of the building, searcys have opened a restaurant, bar and event spaces that are all available to hire! With its iconic glass dome roof and panoramic views, space will impress from all angles! For meetings, they can cater for numbers from 10 to 100. If you are looking at holding a drinks reception or party they can take up to 260 people.
The British Museum
It doesn’t become more British than the British Museum. Located in the Bloomsbury area this institution is dedicated to human history, art and culture. The Grade I-listed British Museum boasts a Norman Foster-designed contemporary events area. With state of the art theatres, smaller meeting rooms, and large foyers, there is an event space suitable for any type of event!
