We had the pleasure of attending the lovely IHG event, where there were 8 various venues showcasing what they can offer.
Holiday Inn – The Holiday Inn Birmingham is based right in the city centre, a great location if you want to be close to everything in the city and only 2-minute walk away from New Street station. The hotel has 261 bedrooms, which includes 20 brand new King deluxe and Junior suites. 24 meeting spaces, which can accommodate up to an impressive 1000 delegates. This hotel is modern and stylish, perfect for a conference.
BCEC – The Birmingham conference and events centre offers a versatile mix of event spaces, great for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, awards dinners and of course networking. Most of the spaces are fully flexible and interconnecting, comfortably accommodating up to 1000 delegates. The venue is stylish, has high tech facilities and is situated in the heart of the city.
Cadbury World – Who hasn’t been to Cadbury World? With its wonderful sites, smells and tastes it is definitely a place your delegates would love. The venue has a brand new meeting space which can accommodate up to 120 people, there’s no better way to finish your meeting than a private Cadbury tour or a make your own chocolate team building session.
Lego Land – If you’re after something a little different for your next meeting, why not try Lego Land. The venue has a large open space with ‘hub’ areas, perfect for team building or small sessions. This is a bright, fun and unique venue, certainly one your delegates will remember.
Sealife centre – Like Lego Land, the Sealife centre is also a venue with a bit of a twist. The venue closes to the public from 5 pm, so is ideal for evening events from 6 pm. Although the venue doesn’t have meeting rooms, it does provide a 4D cinema room, hall of mirrors and underwater tropical tank, perfect for a drink’s reception, birthday party or product launch.
St Johns – Vocco is IHG’s newest brand edition. 180 bedrooms onsite (plus 20 additional bedrooms in the pipeline), excellent leisure facilities and 13 great meeting and event rooms accommodating up to 800 guests. The hotel also has onsite car parking, great for a large conference.
Resorts World – This is a destination like no other! 24-hour entertainment including shopping, restaurants, bars, casino and a spa, what else could you possibly need when taking out your team for a team build, or clients for an evening of entertainment? the casino also offers a ‘learn to play the games’ group experience.
Crowne Plaza – Crowne Plaza is located to the right of the mailbox. With its event space all on one floor, it ensures you are well looked after for your meeting and secluded from the rest of the hotel guests. All the space has lovely big windows, meaning lots of natural daylight and views of the city.
On top of these fantastic venues, we also got the luxury of a complimentary glass of prosecco and some delicious canapes…a fantastic evening all round.
