There is also Portomaso marina filled with luxury boats and yachts, perfect for a stroll in the sun.
Mdina, also known as the ‘silent city’ really is the crown jewel of malta and gained its nickname due to its strict vehicle restrictions. Sat at the top of a hill, this fortified city feels like you have stepped back in time. There is a lot to do here, from St Pauls Cathedral, the cathedral museum, knight of Malta experience and the renowned Fontanella’s where you can enjoy mouthwatering desserts overlooking Malta. However, in recent years there has been another reason to visit this city, as it is where some scenes in the iconic programme Game of Thrones were filmed.
Lastly Gozo an island of the Maltese archipelago is more rural and scenic and really is a must-visit. Accessible by boat or ferry from Malta, Gozo is often referred to as ‘what Malta was once like’ due to its laid back, slower, and quieter pace.
