Meeting the Brief

Meeting the Brief

In the lead up to Christmas despite most businesses winding down, the enquiries are still coming in thick and fast for events in 2015.Here at Seven Events we offer the personal touch and always try and meet new potential clients at the time of a brief, however we know that isn’t always possible. If this is the case then ‘meeting the brief’ often becomes harder as we don’t have as much background knowledge as we’d like.

If you’re contacting us with a new enquiry then most facts are automatically relayed such as dates, times, number of people etc however it’s the other bits of information when we delve deeper that helps us be the agency that really ‘meets the brief’.

Here a few tips for next time you call us…

  • No one knows the event better than you so give us as much information as you can as to why you’re holding the event, the objectives behind it and what you’re wanting you as a company, or your delegates to come away with.
  • If it’s an event you’ve held before let us know what venues you’ve used previously – it’s a great gauge for us to know what appeals and what level of venue you consider.
  • Carrying on from this tell us your likes and dislikes. If your boss really likes a more traditional venue – this is a nugget of information that will assist our venue search no end.

All of this information is probably something that you know and take for granted. We see ourselves as an extension to your team when we work together so the more background information we have the quicker and more effectively we can work on your behalf.

So next time we question your brief, see it as a positive, and you’ll be amazed at the results we achieve.
