New Kids On The Block

Spring has sprung and it is time to come out of hibernation, and what better way to start than trying out one of hottest new openings:

THE DOLLS HOUSE, N1

Part of the Dead Dolls Club, House Of Wolf in Islington is a new permanent Dolls House. The three floors have the same feel as the house, with a public bar in the downstairs parlour, members ballroom in the upstairs attic and two private hire rooms.  The new home has the advantage of being open until 4am and will play host to live Jazz and Swing.
EMBER YARD, W1
Ember Yard is the fourth restaurant from Salt Yard Group and takes inspiration from Spanish and Italian methods of cooking over charcoal. There’s an open plan kitchen on the ground floor and a cool and cosy bar on the lower ground floor.

SALVATION IN NOODLES, N1

A Vietnamese noodle shop in Dalston, Salvation in Noodles specialises in amazing noodle soup such as Bun Rieu. Soups are full of fresh herbs and vegetables added texture and SE-Asian aromas.

BLACKLOCK, W1

New Soho restaurant Blacklock specialises in chops cooked over charcoal with a little help from an old iron. The restaurant is run by a trio of ex-Hawksmoor employees, in the basement of an old Soho brothel. Try one of the bartender’s five favourite cocktails (all of which cost just £5, and one of which is a heavily spiked version of his Grandma’s old lemonade recipe).
