10 Feb olympic games hope?
one of the most iconic events on earth is the olympic games. sadly in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic we were not able to view the best athletes on earth complete across a range of sports in tokyo. however, this week spurred a piece of hope for those hoping that the games will return in 2021.
the international olympic committee (ioc), the international paralympic committee (ipc) and the tokyo 2020 organising committee (tokyo 2020) this week outlined the way in which all stakeholders involved in the games must play a pivotal role in maintaining a successful and safe olympic games.
the first of a series of playbooks aim to provide basic guidance and principles for stakeholders to do in the lead up, during and after the olympic games. over the duration of the next few months more playbooks are going to be published for different types of stakeholder groups from athletes, media and broadcasters.
the sheer logistical effort to ensure a safe and successful games for all can not be understated however with the ioc attempting to provide clear and concise guidance for all involved, we hope that his could be a shining light in ensuring the games are able to take place this year.
