Here at Seven Events we’re lovers of a great afternoon tea but this one really caught our eye!
The Sanctum Hotel, is a boutique hotel in Soho and is aiming at a slightly different audience with this quintessentially English pastime.
They are offering a ‘Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea’ in their red velvet covered No 20 restaurant.
To start with your 3 courses (meaty starters, meaty mains and a cake to finish) are all served on wooden boards. A shot of Jack Daniels comes in a tankard and your cigar can be smoked on the roof terrace – where it’s cold but you can huddle in a manly stance in front of the fire.
Treats on offer include a poached oyster, seared steak sandwich, a mini beef burger plus many more decadent items.
So gentlemen, when it’s next suggested that you take afternoon tea – perhaps suggested this with a manly twist – you’re sure to be remembered!
