26 May “Putting on the Ritz”
The Ritz is really a timeless classic in London and a name that is synonymous with elegance and style… as well as afternoon tea! It’s fair to say that although we’ve held client events there previously it’s not always at the forefront of people’s minds when it really should be.
This week we popped in for a quick show-round and a sneaky peak at the Garden Bar Champagne Terrace which is now open – although you might have to put your name down for a table as it’s proving incredibly popular. It’s always interesting that whenever we do a site visit even at a property we’ve used before you always find out something new.
I’m sure you’re not aware that the Ritz has its own fine jewellery store within the hotel and you can even host an event in there. For a small group, possibly aimed at the Ladies, you can enjoy drinks and canapés whilst trying on some fabulous jewellery. What could be nicer?
The event spaces are in the connecting William Kent House and to this day you still feel like you’re entering someone’s house. The rooms each have their own identity and décor with the William Kent Room being the most decadent – although my personal favourite is the Queen Elizabeth Room, a beautiful drawing room overlooking Green Park.
There is also a terrace outside that can be used for drinks receptions for smaller groups, another little hidden gem in the middle of London.
Our show-round finished with a signature cocktail in Rivoli Bar which was buzzing for a week-night. With an extensive drinks list you could pop in a few times and always try something new.
