Starting the Party
More and more often our clients are combining their conference events with an after-party element. This approach allows companies to make the most of their budgets, by reducing to a single venue hire. Quite often looking to use the same space for both elements of the event.
As event planner we must look to take a creative approach to turning around spaces, to creative maximum impact, while working to tight time frames. For one recent client, we had just one hour to turn the Roundhouse main space from conference to party. We achieved the element of surprise, largely with main stage production, taking the slick conference day look up a gear with SFX, lighting and opening LED drumming performance. Guests were invited back into the space, where 900 ghost chairs had been removed to reveal a street food market with club like vibes. The real highlight was the risen LED screen that revealed an LED projection mapped 20 installation to mark the company’s birthday celebrations. All alongside a full band set up, DJ and LED drumming rig.
