During the winter months in London it’s all about finding the perfect cozy pub on the closest corner for drinks, however in the summer months it’s a totally different story – it’s all about living the high life!
In this blog I have picked out my top three rooftop bars in London for everyone that enjoys a cocktail or two in the clouds.
The Rumpus Room
20 Upper Ground, London SE1 9PD
Now this is an awesome rooftop bar and certainly a favourite of mine. With its incredible 360 panoramic views of the entire city this is a rooftop bar which is hard to beat.
The Rumpus room ticks all of the boxes for a top rooftop bar. It has live music, it has the views (I know I have already mention the views but seriously – THE VIEWS), it is super slick and stylish and most importantly it has a fantastic atmosphere.
The bar is open Tuesday through to Saturday all year round but be prepare to book early as it is a very popular place.
AQUA
5th Floor, 240 Regent Street, London W1B 3BR
Aqua has a very similar vibe and atmosphere to The Rumpus Room however, this bar is less about the views and more about the booze!
The bar doesn’t just have the one outdoor terrace but two… I think its safe to say you are spoilt for choice here. It’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy a bottle of bubbles with friends, family, colleagues and clients to sit and watch the sun go down over busy London town.
Unfortunately, you are not able to book a table on the terrace but they are open all year-round Monday to Friday weather permitting.
Aviary
Montcalm Royal London House, 22-25 Finsbury Square, London EC2A 1DX
The Aviary is London newest rooftop bar and it has definitely hit the mark. It is incredibly spacious, which for a rooftop bar in London is always a bonus, and has arguably the best views across Finsbury Square making it incredibly popular with the city slickers.
The bar and restaurant are open Monday to Sunday so if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy the city, sip some wine and enjoy a steak, you will LOVE the Aviary.
