05 Mar The Sun Always Shines on the French Riviera
From attending The Meetings Space at the end of February we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay on an extra day and really see what Cannes has to offer as a destination. I’m pleased to say that it has everything you’d want.
Firstly, as with all groups from the UK, we appreciate it if the sun is shining. I’m happy to say that this is true for approximately 300 days of the year – and the other days the locals say the sun is still shining – there’s just a little cloud in the way!
The great thing about Cannes is that you can walk everywhere. Obviously you can still arrange transfers for larger groups but for smaller groups, or for that bit of free time everything is close by.
There’s nothing nicer than strolling along La Croisette watching all the beautiful people – it’s like Bond Street by the sea.
There are a number of hotels to choose from with our favourites ranging from the famous Intercontinental Carlton to the Martinez and newly refurbished JW Marriott – plus for those larger events you’ve got the Palais des Festivals et des Congres de Cannes.
To keep the group entertained in terms of activities there is so much to do. Everyone has participated in the usual treasure hunt however if you can do this on rib boats this adds a special twist. Add in a stop off at the Monastery for a wine tasting on Saint Honore island and your delegates will be blown away. Or why not take a quick helicopter ride along the Cote D’Azur – it’s truly breathtaking.
