Taste of The Exclusive

This week there were invitations galore for attending events in the evening however we chose to see what was happening at the Exclusive Hotels event being held in Borough Market.

Nestled in the heart of the market we saw we were in the right place when the queue snaked out the doorway with people eager to enter. Exclusive Hotels manage a number of different properties – Pennyhill Park Hotel and Spa, South Lodge, The Manor House and Lainston House – and the aim of the evening was to experience a taster of what they had on offer.

Bubbles were in plentiful supply from Nyetimber and the demand was certainly there to get a taste of the food prepared by their Academy Chefs. Food was definitely a theme of the evening with live demonstrations throughout the evening from their top chefs. Olly Rouse, Matt Gillan, Michael Wignall, Richard Davis and Denis Drame were all producing amazing food from what we could see on the stage.

The most popular chef of the evening however had to be Steven Edwards. Head Chef at the Camellia restaurant at South Lodge he is also well recognised for being the winner of Masterchef: The Professionals 2013.

We were all left wishing we’d been picked to sample his food at the Chefs table.
