How to Celebrate Chinese New Year with your favourite Four-Legged Friend

 

As always, London is lit up to celebrate Chinese New Year and this year is no exception. As a nation of Dog lovers, there is only one way to see in The Year of the Dog and that is with your pooch! For those who don’t have a furry four-legged friend at home, there are plenty of opportunities in London to join in with.

For when you are both thirsty…

The Mitre is a great gastro pub located in the heart of Fulham.  It has a large beer garden for you and your dog to sit out and soak up some sun.

The Prince Albert is located on Battersea Bridge Rd which makes it the perfect location to pop in for a drink after you and your dog have enjoyed a long walk in the park.  As you enter the pub you are greeted by two enormous great danes… don’t worry they don’t bite…

The Queen Adelaide. As you walk in the door the first person to be offered a drink will be your friend in tow.  Dog bowls and biscuits at the ready, the Queen Adelaide is a lovely spot for the two of you to enjoy a drink or two.  The pub also offers a large patio at the back with lots of shady spots for you dog to chill out and have a snooze.

The Tea House at Petersham Nurseries offers wholesome seasonal food, complimented with fresh statement salads. Alongside the savoury offerings are hearty homemade cakes, whole leaf teas and freshly ground coffee. Just want you need after exploring Richmond Park together.

The Pear Tree Café is located with in Battersea Park beside the duck pond.  The café is full to bursting with delicious cakes, snack and sandwiches. With plenty of tables and benches, this is a wonderful spot to stop for a bite to each with you dog and WATCH the ducks…NOT FETCH the ducks!
