Think Livery think Lovely!
We’re all guilty of hearing about a venue and making assumptions based on the type of venue it is or the name. This week was no different for me when heading off to one of the many Livery Halls in the city.
Often Livery Halls are thought of as traditional and stuffy however I was pleasantly surprised when stepping into Plaisterers Hall a few days ago. This is a venue brilliantly located in the city, perfect for the financial client that I was with, but it’s location certainly isn’t its biggest selling point.
When heading downstairs you expect to walk into a dark environment and that couldn’t be further from the truth.
The venue was refurbished last year and everything from the carpet to the walls and the balustrades have been restored to their former glory making it is brilliantly light and airy.
It truly is a beautiful building which is astonishingly quiet with the hustle and bustle of the city just outside.
If you’re guilty like some of us of pre-judging before seeing a venue, always make sure you go with an open mind and open eyes… you’ll be surprised what you end up seeing.
