the events industry is made up of a huge group of professionals who just love to talk – so the pandemic has really hit us where it hurts. over the past 6 months we have experienced every type of virtual meeting possible; from tuning into live webinars with hundreds of others, to booking 1-2-1 appointments with suppliers and colleagues.

we’ve seen a rise in the number of virtual networking events available to us recently and having experienced them first-hand, we’re very much the experts in what works and what simply doesn’t. so here you have it, our top tips for running the perfect virtual networking event:

choose your platform wisely

keep to time
ensure that your attendees are kept engaged by keeping 1-2-1 appointments snappy. we advise the optimum amount of time is between 12-15 minutes, enough time to cover essential topics and any additional information can be sent post event.

send goodies in the post
