the class is hosted by forbes whiskey writer, tasting host and world whiskey awards judge felipe schrieberg. felipe is a london-based drinks writer. he writes about whisky as a senior contributor to forbes, as well as other publications. he is a judge for the world whisky awards and the world cognac awards. he is also the co-founder of the rhythm and booze project, a musical duo that combines live music with whisky tastings through events and multimedia. past projects include building the world’s first bass drum out of an entire scotch whisky cask (a barrel of lagavulin). his book, london cocktails, will be published by cider mill press and distributed by simon and schuster in october 2020.
how it works
prior to your virtual masterclass, each guest will be sent a box containing 6 whiskeys to try. Hosted over zoom Felipe Schrieberg he will lead you through your specially curated selection of whiskies. You will learn how to train your nose and palette whilst also having some fun and learning about whisky along the way. Throughout the tasting, your guests will get to interact with Felipe and fellow participants and have the chance to ask questions about the whiskies on offer and about whisky in general, no matter where in the world it’s produced.
