Situated on the west coast of Britain, covering 823 square miles of diverse landscapes, Snowdonia is the largest National Park in Wales. It is known as Eryri in Welsh, a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”.

Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales (Snowdon at 1085m), and the largest natural lake in Wales (Bala which is over 3½ miles long, ¾ mile wide and over 140 feet deep in places).

With plenty of outdoor activities like cycling, climbing, horse riding, golfing, bird watching, caving and watersports plus plenty of arts, crafts, shops selling local produce, family fun parks, adventure trips, zips above and underground, narrow-gauge railways, castles and natural attractions, Snowdonia is a natural playground for everyone to enjoy!
