23 Jul Week Two as the Newbie at Seven Events Events
The week began on a high. I tagged along with a colleague to have my first experience of site visiting; and boy was it a fabulous line up. Our Monday adventure began with the Science Museum a large venue to say the least. It felt as though I had been transported back to my childhood – perfect for anyone trying to impress or arouse conversation.
After hailing a cab in movie star fashion we were on to the next venue – One Marylebone. The deconsecrated church had awe inspiring high ceilings and a surprisingly atmospheric cellar. This is the place to be when throwing a party. Our third venue, steeped in history was Shakespeare’s Globe – hello wow factor. Beautiful Thames views at the entrance and a walk way of interesting facts and notionsbefore entering the main event space makes for a wonderful evening event.
The Honourable Artillery Company was our last stop. This place sells its self, being so diverse with its traditional architecture and artwork yet fabulously modern with its lighting and finishes. The perfect venue for a black tie dinner dance. This is just the beginning of a long love affair with beautiful London venues. I don’t know whether it’s the nosey parker in me or the thirst for venue knowledge but I have now made it my personal mission to see all the fabulous venues in London by Christmas.
