the perfect little isle of mull is a joy to explore – from it’s colourful towns to its rugged villages. the second-largest island of the inner hebrides known locally simply as mull is just off the west coast of scotland and around 4 hours from glasgow. an area of outstanding beauty, this is a perfect destination for groups looking for an exciting adventure, geological wonders, curious creatures and crystal clear waters.

how to get there
from london, you can take the train from euston to oban, changing in glasgow. from oban, there’s a direct ferry to the island, which runs every few hours each day. in total, the journey will take around 11 hours, but trust us – this is a scenic route that will feel like part of the trip!

what to do while you’re there
there’s something for everyone on the isle of mull – from gin and whiskey distilleries to cooking classes and craft workshops. for those who love the outdoors, we can recommend highland pony trekking, boat charters to the staff national nature reserve or perhaps a day trip to tobermory, where you’ll find the iconic colourful buildings.
