19 Aug why amsterdam needs to be on your 2021 travel list!
with the world of travel slowly starting to open up, we have been eagerly looking at the safest destinations for corporate incentive travel. since the beginning of the pandemic, the netherlands have consistently recorded low numbers of covid-19 and are now returning to their “new normal”.
from the 1st june, hotels and venues were able to host socially distanced meetings for up to 30 people. from the 1st july, gatherings could increase in size from 30 to 100 and from the 1st september, larger meetings and dinners will be allowed – providing there is no great change in the number of cases.
getting to amsterdam won’t be too much of a problem – with klm expecting to operate 80% of their european flights this summer and the eurostar now offering a direct service from london. once you’re there, there’s plenty of safe places to stay – including our favourite sustainable property, the qo amsterdam which is operating contact free check in, anti-viral deep cleans in all public spaces and guest rooms and social distance measures in the restaurant.
amsterdam is a vibrant city, with a vast range of restaurants, from fine dining at bij qunis to quirky casual dining at foodhallen. there are also loads of great activities for groups, such as canal cruises, the heineken experience and cycling tours. we love this city and can’t wait to return in 2021!
we know that finding the right location for your incentive can be challenging, that’s why we work with you to understand your objectives and create bespoke proposals, every time. if you want to find out more about how we do this, contact a member of our events team, who will be happy to tell you all about their experiences. to have a look at some of the other amazing events we have organised click this link: https://www.sevenevents.co.uk/casestudies/
