Wonderful Winter Pop-Ups

Wonderful Winter Pop-Ups

The John Lewis Christmas advert has hit our screens and melted our hearts, Oxford streets Christmas lights have been switched on and I’ve heard unconfirmed rumours that the Coca-Cola Christmas advert is live – the festive season is officially upon us. We may not have snow to make us fell tingly but we do have some great festive pop-ups gracing London this season:

Grand Union, Brixton
Pleasure gardens aren’t just for summer – feel the love in Brixton with Grand Union’s massive marquee, set to put the pleasure in the Grand Union’s garden this winter. Think turkey and cranberry burgers and hot toddies under the glow of twinkling fairy lights… and if you don your Christmas jumper, you get a free cocktail. From 28 November until spring 2015.

Winter Cinema
There’s nothing better than curling up with a Christmas movie – and now you can do it in style, up on the roof of the Berkeley hotel. Blankets, cushions, hot water bottles and homemade hot chocolate will all be to hand, not to mention Champagne and mince pies. Enjoy Christmas classics such as Miracle on 34th Street safely above the bustle of Knightsbridge.  From 24 November to 31 December.

Dram & Smoke
Scottish pop-up Dram & Smoke is set to return with seasonal scran and winter warmers: think Haggis bonbons, venison wellington and Monkey Shoulder whisky. Enjoy the ‘general flumgummerie’ at Black Swan Yard, off Bermondsey Street. From 19 November to 20 December.

Le Chalet, Selfridges
Enjoy a spot of winter Alpine chic on the roof of Selfridges with Le Chalet – a wintry retreat atop the iconic Oxford Street department store. The restaurant will serve an Alpine-inspired barbecue menu alongside a crab and shellfish bar. Cosy up in the log cabin with a hot chocolate cocktail and feel totally smug that you are chilling out just metres above Christmas shopping chaos. Until the end of February.
