we know that there seems to be a national day for everything now, but on june 5th there’s one that is a little more serious than some of the others,; ’s world environment day.
this day urges all of us to protect our natural surroundings and is a global celebration and a platform for public outreach.
in 2021 the theme is ecosystem restoration which also ties in with the first year of the united nation’s decade on ecosystem restoration – a ten year project aimed at fixing the damage that has been done to our planet.
how does this tie in with events i hear you ask? well… there are many ways that you can get your company involved in doing things to help our planet whilst also bringing together companies, departments or teams. having fun is a must but we can also organise activities that ‘give back’.
we have many ideas as to how this can be incorporated into an event and realise that csr and sustainability is high on the agenda.

as for us as individuals we can’t turn back time, but we can do our bit to help. we can grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets and clean up rivers and coasts.
