After taking part in a rigorous tender process, we were appointed by Sophos to manage the end to end delivery of their UK Partner Conference. This annual event brings together Sophos customer and prospects for a two day event, aimed to deliver both networking opportunities and education on products.
Following on from the previous year in London, it was decided to take this event to another UK city to increase the companies networking reach. After investigating options across the UK, Manchester was selected as the favourite, due to its offering of unique venues and varied and high level hotel options. The event took place on a already busy event week in Manchester, but our buying power allowed us to secure the 450 bedrooms required at The Lowry, Hilton Deansgate, The Midland and DoubleTree Hilton. Guests were split across the four hotels based on client category and exec level. The two day conference was based at the Victoria Warehouse, a unique blank canvas venue. That was perfect backdrop for the branding exposure required and with multiple areas and spaces to allow for main plenary, 4 breakouts and still a large space for catering, networking and a bespoke merchandise store. The event kicked off with an opening session at the Victoria Warehouse, before guests headed of to the Imperial War Museum for the welcome reception. This was then followed by a full day conference and party, where the plenary space was transformed to the delight of guests who returned for a proper party. Complete with a laser quest dome, LED ping pong, street food, cocktail bar and showstopping LED drummers performance.
