The Top Sledging Spots in London
This week ‘The Beast from The East’ hit London, covering the entire city in a blanket of snow and causing utter chaos for commuters, however there is always a silver lining to every snow cloud and that is… snow days and sledging!
This weekend why not grab your sledge and adventure outside to embrace the snow and have some fun!
Hampstead Heath
Make your way to the far corner of Hampstead Heath and experience London’s version of Cresta Run. On one side you have Highgate village and on the other Kenwood House. Yesterday on Hampstead Heath, Katie Ormerod (British Ski and Snowboarder) who recently returned from the Winter Olympics joined in with all the fun!
Primrose Hill
For some serious and hair-raising sledging – this north London spot is very steep. Climb up to the top of the hill during your lunch and then sledge your way all the way back to your desk. IN London, currently this is probably your fast mode of transport.
Parliament Hill
With amazing views and steep inclines, Parliament Hill is the perfect spot. After spending the afternoon in the snow, you can warm up and enjoy some pub grub at either The Bull & Last or the Southampton Arms.
